MowDaddy now has Blade Leaders — a way to see how your mowing stacks up against other users. But before you groan about another leaderboard, hear us out. This one's different.

Multiple Ways to Win

Most leaderboards reward one thing: being the fastest, strongest, or most obsessive. Blade Leaders celebrates different mowing styles with separate categories:

🏎️ Pace Car — Fastest average mowing speed
🐢 Sunday Driver — Most relaxed mowing pace (yes, going slow is a win here)
📐 Laser Lines — Straightest mowing pattern
🌀 Squiggly — Most creative mowing path
🔄 Roundabout Enthusiast — Most loops around obstacles
🌧️ Storm Chaser — Most mows in the rain
🏃 Marathon Mower — Longest single mow session
📅 Dedicated — Most total mows
🔥 On Fire — Longest weekly mowing streak

You might be last place in Pace Car but dominating Sunday Driver. That's the point. There's no single "right" way to mow your lawn, so there's no single ranking.

Earn Your Badge

When you hit top 3 in any category, you earn a badge that shows on your home screen:

🥇 Gold for 1st place
🥈 Silver for 2nd place
🥉 Bronze for 3rd place

Rankings update as more mows come in, so holding onto that gold takes consistency. Or you could just mow really, really slowly and lock down Sunday Driver forever. We don't judge.

Why "Blade Leaders"?

The name works on two levels:

Mower blades — The spinning steel that actually cuts your grass
Blade — Our AI lawn care assistant who lives in the chat

Competition with a wink, not a snarl.

Completely Optional

Not into competition? No problem. You can opt out anytime in your profile settings. Your stats disappear from the rankings, but you can still see how others are doing. No pressure, no judgment.

Want to see who's been killing it lately vs. all-time legends? Toggle between:

Fresh start every week if you want it.

What's Coming

We're thinking about:

Regional rankings — How do you compare to mowers in your ZIP code?
Seasonal challenges — Special badges for fall overseeding, spring green-up
Friend groups — Compete with your actual neighbors

But we're being careful. If a feature would make people feel bad about their lawn, it doesn't ship. Blade Leaders is about fun, not anxiety.
