Connect your personal AI agent to your lawn care data

Overview

The MowDaddy API allows personal AI agents like Muse to access your lawn care data. Ask questions like "When did I last mow?" or "How tall is my grass?" and get answers based on your actual mowing history and property data.

Authentication

All API requests require a personal API token sent as a Bearer token in the Authorization header.

Authorization: Bearer md_live_your_token_here

How to Get Your API Token

  1. Open the MowDaddy app on your phone
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top right corner
  3. Select Profile & Settings
  4. Tap Integrations
  5. Tap Create API Token
  6. Name your token (e.g., "Muse") and select permissions
  7. Tap Create — your token will be shown once
  8. Copy the token immediately (it won't be shown again)

Important: The token is only shown once when created. If you lose it, you'll need to revoke it and create a new one.

Endpoints

GET/me

Returns your user profile. Use this to verify your connection is working.

Scope required: profile:read

GET/lawns

Lists all your properties with name, grass type, size, and location.

Scope required: lawns:read

GET/lawns/:id

Returns details for a specific property.

Scope required: lawns:read

GET/lawns/:id/mows

Returns mowing history with date, duration, deck height, and weather conditions.

Query params: limit, offset, from, to (ISO dates)

Scope required: mows:read

GET/lawns/:id/predictions

Returns current grass status: predicted height, days since last mow, urgency level, and weather notes.

Scope required: lawns:read

Scopes

When creating an API token, select the scopes needed for your use case:

  • profile:readAccess your user profile
  • lawns:readView your properties and predictions
  • mows:readView your mowing history
